This unit is responsible for directing water flow that comes from your pool pump and filter to the heat exchanger. After the water has reached the desired temperature it is then the manifolds responsibility to direct this water back through the return plumbing so it can reach its destination being your pool. This unit was made specifically for the Max-E-Therm 400k BTU pool heater.
